Installing Plugins and Themes from WP Creators Hub

Downloaded your first file? Great — here’s how to install plugins and themes safely and correctly on your WordPress site.

📦 Step 1 — Download the ZIP File #

From My Account → Downloads:

• Click Download
• A .zip file will save to your device
• Do not unzip it — WordPress installs it as-is

⚙️ Step 2 — Install a Plugin #

In your WordPress dashboard:

1. Go to Plugins → Add New
2. Click Upload Plugin
3. Select the .zip file
4. Click Install Now
5. Click Activate

Your plugin is now ready to use.

🎨 Step 3 — Install a Theme #

1. Go to Appearance → Themes
2. Click Add New → Upload Theme
3. Upload the .zip file
4. Click Install
5. Click Activate (or Preview first)

🧩 What About License Keys? #

Some plugins may display a license message.

This is expected because:

• GPL files work without activation
• License keys are only required for:
  • Automatic updates
  • Premium support from the developer

Your plugin or theme will still function normally.

🔄 Updating Your Files #

When a new version is available:

• Download the latest version from your account
• Re-upload it to WordPress
• WordPress will replace the existing files

Your settings and data remain intact.

🛑 If Installation Fails #

Check for:

• PHP or file upload limits
• Conflicting versions already installed
• Corrupt/incomplete download

Try re-downloading the file and installing again.
