How Updates & Versions Work

Because all files in our library are distributed under the GPL license, you’re free to download, install, and update them as needed — but the update process works differently from purchasing a direct developer license. This article explains what to expect.

Where Our Updates Come From #

We source files directly from the original plugin and theme developers, then make them available in your account without modification. When a new version is released:

1. We obtain the latest package
2. Perform basic integrity and version checks
3. Add it to the downloads area

This ensures you always receive authentic GPL-licensed copies.

Manual vs Automatic Updates #

Because these files don’t include the developer’s license key:

• 🚫 You won’t receive automatic updates inside WordPress
• ✅ Instead, you can manually install the new version by:
  1. Downloading the latest file from your account
  2. Uploading it in WordPress
  3. Allowing it to replace the previous version

Automatic updates require a paid vendor license.
GPL distribution focuses on freedom, flexibility, and affordability, not bundled vendor services — which is how pricing stays lower.
